Home > Baseline Management > Manage Policies > Placeholder Policy
この記事をダウンロードA placeholder policy replaces baseline property values with custom values that you define. When the relevant baseline configurations are applied to a tenant, the custom property values are used instead of the original baseline property values. You can select the target configurations and properties, specify replacement values with references (e.g., tenant name, tenant ID) or static text, and choose the baselines to which this policy applies. This policy does not affect read-only properties and takes effect only after the relevant baselines have been applied to the tenant.
On the Policy vault page, the Placeholder policy tab displays all available policies of this type. To view the detailed information about a specific policy, click its name to open the policy details page.
Refer to the following steps to create a placeholder policy:
Click Create above the policy table to open the Create placeholder policy page.
In the Basic information step, complete the following information:
Policy name – Enter a name for this policy.
Description – Enter an optional description.
Baseline scope – Select the baselines where you want to apply this policy and click Apply. Baseline assignment can also be completed after you create the policy. For detailed instructions, refer to Apply a Policy to Baseline.
Click Next.
In the Placeholders step, complete the following information:
Select a configuration and a specific property within the configuration.
Enter the property value. For flexibility, you can insert a dynamic reference instead of a static value, for example, tenant name.
Click Add and repeat the steps above to add another placeholder.
Click Next.
In the Review step, you can verify information and edit information if needed. If no more updates are needed, click Create to create the policy.
Each baseline can have only one placeholder policy assigned. Applying a new policy of the same type will override the existing one upon application.
On the Policy vault > Placeholder policy page, the Baseline scope column in the policy table displays the number of baselines where a policy has been applied, and the Tenant scope column displays the number of tenants that are impacted via the deployment of those baselines.
