On each policy template card, you can find the template name, description, the object types it applies to, and the number of rules included. Clicking a policy template card will open the policy template window where you can find detailed rules available for this template.
The sections below describe how to reuse a policy template and list the available service-level policy templates grouped by object type.
To reuse a policy template, select a policy template card. If multiple object types are supported, you can use the Object type drop-down list to change the object type. Click Continue to proceed to the Create policy page, where you can review and edit the template's general information, rules, and settings. Once complete, assign the policy to a scope to monitor the relevant objects.
The following sections list the available service-level policy templates grouped by object type. Each section includes a description of the policy template and a table listing the rules included in the template.
For Microsoft 365 Groups and Teams, the following policy templates are available.

| Access Requests Settings | Control access requests settings, including options to allow members to share content and to allow access requests. |
| Classification Enforcement | Ensure all Groups or Teams have a classification assigned to them and assign a default classification if there is none. |
| External Sharing Settings | Control the external sharing settings for Groups or Teams. |
| Owner Number Restriction | Control the number of owners in Microsoft 365 Groups, Teams, security groups, and distribution lists. |
| Privacy Restriction | Control the privacy settings of Groups or Teams. |
| Remove Shadow Users | Remove users who have access to the SharePoint site but are not part of the Group/Team membership. |
| Remove Licenses from Inactive Users | Remove licenses from users who do not have activities in Microsoft 365 services for a certain period. |
Use this policy template to control the sensitivity of your Microsoft 365 Groups or Teams content.

| Microsoft 365 Group Visibility in Outlook Client | Control if a Microsoft 365 Group should be visible in the Outlook client and the global address list. |

| Privacy Restriction | Control the privacy settings of Groups or Teams. |
| Ownership Restriction | Control users who can be added to Groups or Teams as owners. |

Use this policy template to monitor sharing settings and scan for external users in your Microsoft 365 Groups or Teams to prevent unauthorized data exposure.
