    Configure Google User Provisioning Service

    A Google User Provisioning service allows you to define the request template for business users to create new users. You can customize the settings for Google users created using this service as well as configure available options for business users to choose from when requesting this service.

    To create a Google User Provisioning service, complete the following steps:

    1. Navigate to Governance > Services.

    2. Click Create service in the upper-right corner of the page.

    3. Select the Google platform, and then click Google user provisioning service under the Provisioning tab.

    4. In the Settings page, complete the following settings:

      • Google user provisioning service – Click the Google user provisioning service step box and complete the following settings:

        • Organization – Select an organization that the new users will belong to.

        • Organizational unit – Click the Edit (Icon: Edit.) icon to select an organizational unit that the new users will belong to.

        • Licenses – Select the licenses that will be assigned to the new users.

        • Operation – Select whether to allow requesters to submit each request to create one user or multiple users. For multiple use creation, you can set a maximum number of users per request.

        • Information – Configure which property fields to display and what actions are required for each when submitting requests. These settings depend on your chosen Operation mode.

          • If you select to allow requesters to create one user per request, you can click the Add icon between property cards or the Add button at the bottom of the panel to add more properties. To rearrange the order, click and drag the Drag (Icon: Drag.) icon on the left side of each card.

          • If you select to allow requesters to create multiple users per request, configure the General information and User information sections separately. General information will be applied to all newly created users while User information needs to be specified for each user.

          • You can click the Add icon between property cards or the Add button at the bottom of each section to add more properties. To rearrange the order, click and drag the Drag icon on the left side of each card

          • *Note: A property can only be added to either the General Information section or the User Information section, not both.

      • Approval process – Click the Approval process step box and select an approval process for this service from the dropdown list. For details on the selected process, click View approval process details.

    5. After completing the settings on this page, click Basics at the top to navigate to the Basics page.

    6. On the Basics page, complete the following settings:

      • Name – Enter a name for the service.

      • Description – Provide a brief description.

      • Status – Use the toggle button to enable or disable the service.

      • Service contact – Specify a user or group to be responsible for the successful completion of the service.

      • Then select an email template for error notifications from the dropdown list. If the request process encounters an error, the service contact will receive a notification email.

    7. When you complete the settings, click Save in the upper-right corner of the page to create the Google User Provisioning service.
