Export to PDFA User Lifecycle Management service allows you to define the request template for business users to request to suspend, reactivate, archive, unarchive, or delete a Google user.
To create a User Lifecycle Management service, complete the following steps:
Navigate to Governance > Services.
Click Create service in the upper-right corner of the page.
Select the Google platform, and then click User lifecycle management service under the Lifecycle tab.
In the Settings page, complete the following settings:
User lifecycle management service – Click the User lifecycle management service step box and complete the following settings:
User scope – Select an organization or container as the scope. Business users can submit requests for this service to manage the users in the selected organization or container.
Actions – Select the lifecycle management actions that you allow business users to request.
If you select to allow business users to submit a deletion request, select whether to Transfer the user’s data upon deletion. To transfer data, complete the following settings:
Data transfer scope – Manage whether and how a user's data should be processed before the user deletion. For details, refer to the Transfer data and delete user option in Step 2 in Offboard a User.
Transfer data to – Select whether to require business users to configure where to transfer data, or pre-configure it here and show it as read-only or hidden to business users. If configuring here, you can select to transfer the user’s data to either their manager or a specific user
Approval process – Click the Approval process step box and select an approval process for this service from the dropdown list. For details on the selected process, click View approval process details.
After completing the settings on this page, click Basics at the top to navigate to the Basics page.
On the Basics page, complete the following settings:
Name – Enter a name for the service.
Description – Provide a brief description.
Status – Use the toggle button to enable or disable the service.
Service contact – Specify a user or group to be responsible for the successful completion of the service.
Then select an email template for error notifications from the dropdown list. If the request process encounters an error, the service contact will receive a notification email.
When you complete the settings, click Save in the upper-right corner of the page to create the User Lifecycle Management service.
