    AvePoint Cloud Backup Express

    Powered by Microsoft 365 Backup Storage, Microsoft is responsible for maintaining the backup policy to generate the recovery points, and the recovery points will be synced to AvePoint Cloud Backup Express every 6 hours. The backup status on the Backup page will also be updated every 6 hours.

    To get started with AvePoint Cloud Backup Express, activate your Microsoft 365 tenant in AvePoint Cloud Backup Express first. If the Microsoft tenant has been activated by another backup controller, it will be deactivated and enter a grace period. During this grace period, you can configure the backup settings. The first backup will start automatically at the end of the grace period.

    To protect Exchange Online mailboxes, SharePoint Online site collections, OneDrive, Team sites and Group sites with AvePoint Cloud Backup Express, you must configure a Cloud Backup Express service app for the Auto discovery and data protection.

    Note the following:

    - Cloud Backup Express does not support protecting private and shared channel sites. - Cloud Backup Express does not support protecting room mailboxes, resource mailboxes, and in-place archive mailboxes.
