#Backup Prioritization

Define priority queues for specific containers or objects so the backup service processes high-value datasets first. Use this when compliance, recovery point objectives, or executive workspaces require the shortest possible recovery window.

#Power BI Restore Enhancements

Perform both in-place and out-of-place restores for Power BI components, including datasets, reports, and workspace permissions. Conflict handling is built in, and you can direct payloads to customer-owned storage when BYOS is enabled.

#Regional Expansion

Cloud Backup now operates out of the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) region, giving organizations in the Middle East more options to satisfy residency and sovereignty requirements.

#Custom App Support

Delegated permissions are honored for custom integrations spanning Power Platform, Viva Engage, Teams, SharePoint, and related services. This ensures automated workflows and companion applications remain operational after restore operations.

#File and Email Preview

The preview feature is disabled by default and must be enabled by AvePoint Support. Only Administrators or security groups that possess the Preview action permission can use it.

• Supported files: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF content sourced from Teams, Groups, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Unsupported files: items larger than 10 MB, files with encrypted sensitivity labels, or archived content.
• Email preview: Exchange Online, Teams, and Group mailboxes display rich metadata before restore, and every preview action is logged.
• Preview actions include downloading, printing, or generating secure share links with password and expiration controls—even during an active backup job. All activity is audited.

#Restore Destinations and Education Templates

You can now target Microsoft Teams channel sites when restoring SharePoint sites, OneDrive accounts, or Microsoft 365 Group sites, which simplifies scenarios where Teams is the operational front end. Teams built from education templates restore with the correct metadata, channels, and hierarchy, preserving the instructional layout.

#Mailbox Export for Teams

Export mailbox data from Microsoft Teams at either the Group mailbox level or from individual folders and messages. Group-level exports are currently limited to Search mode to streamline governance reviews.
